Advocacy
The CFLBBA was formed to give Homebuilders and Real Estate Brokers and Agents a forum to discuss issues in the industry and to find solutions which will enrich both builders and brokers. We also provide guidance on dealing with local and regional Boards of Realtors and Multiple Listings Services - especially those seeking to limit the ability for homebuilders and brokers to do business together more effectively. We are currently advocating for saving the Pre-Construction Listing Status in the MFRMLS.
Standards
The CFLBBA is committed to helping homebuilders and real estate brokers find common ground on the construction of new homes for sales through real estate agents. The average builder in the US sells more than 54% of their homes through real estate agents. By establishing standards for cooperation, the CFLBBA aims to increase that figure drastically. We are currently developing the draft for a Cooperative Agreement between builders and brokers similar to that used in other markets in the country. More to follow.
Education
Education is important in any business. We facilitate training for both homebuilders and real estate brokerages that increases understanding, cooperation, and ultimately more and more efficient sales. We also provide education on tools and products relevant to the industry which can increase sales for both builders and brokers. For example, our partnership with Retirement Funding Solutions allows us to present alternative funding sources to buyers age 62 and better. We are continuing to add education opportunities every month.
